Anybody know the diameter of the intake port on the Z125? I have a few silicon hoses running from 1inch to 3inch around the house was thinking about just clamping one of those on with a K&N intake filter or so.

Man I am soooooo sorry I haven’t replied I have been super buried and I never checked this thread for follow up. I just used a little bit of the K&N oil and it slid over the flair I had to spin it a bit like a screw to start it. Kind of like putting a bicycle tire on a rim. I am hoping you have gotten it by now....again I’m sorry. Hopefully you have noticed the gains and no check engine light at all!

I just installed a K&N 1130 filter it slipped right over the intake hose and the filter is held on by the lip of the now internal hose. Cut the airbox and closed up the side with the breather tube keeping it filtered going to the case.

Trying this right now but having trouble getting the "horn style" flange to fit in the ru-1130. did you trim any of the flange off so you could fit it in? There's not enough room at the top of the airbox where it's near the flange for me too push it into the filter. perhaps I'm missing something. Thanks for any advice.

AFR on a stock emissions controlled bike will swing around 14.7:1 at cruise (steady throttle and load), at wide open throttle it might be allowed to go to 13:1 but I doubt they go much richer than that. At least in the USA where the EPA/DOT says that's the way it is going to be.

Think I'm going to go this route with the intake pipe. I'll do the two for $8.90, give one to a co-worker. Gotta get something to put over it since I ride in the rain a lot. I guess a tuner is in order when doing exhaust and intake.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. my understanding is that the main difference between this approach and something like a chimera kit, from an installation perspective is:
The chimera kit appear to have a place to plug in the crank case breather.

Could I drill a hole in the existing tube we plan to use for the new cone filter and seal a nipple to it in order to accomplish the same objective?

Yes, this would work fine. I bought the MNNTHBX Mtake and all I did was tuck the breather tube for the crankcase up under the gas tank and zip tied it up just enough to hold it in place but not pinch it off.
Thank you,
I think I'm going to out a little 10mm breather on it and zip tie up to the frame like you did.

I drilled and taped my stock exhaust just to see if it worked and it did it just makes the bung hole fairly thin the tap I used was a gearwrench 730d I'm going to do this to my pro circit pipe once I get a vice it was supper easy to drill and tap the stock you can just stand on it.

Double post don't kill me. I don't want to pull the trigger too quickly (and bike isnt within my reach to check) I like the look of the UNI filter a lot, as well as it keeping out dirt more efficiently.
However I see that the the uni's posted were 50MM where as the K&N both have a smaller I.D. of 35MM

I'm lost af help lol.
