Thanks, I figured so. I have ordered one on eBay now a starter that others on this forum have ordered from Bruce shark for $48 shipped with USA stock and eBay backing which is safe, Aliexpress may not be quite a safe because it's not so well known, I do notice when you shut it off you hear that starter honking as well so I'm assuming that the nine spline starter gear is engaged all the time because I can also hear that starter whirring as I'm revving it and it's getting worse each time I start it so I'm assuming that starter is not much longer for time, it's the early 2017 original starter before they did the part number change so this is the starter that had all the problems and there's only 200 some odd miles on the bike that's why it still starting the bike for now. But do you agree that since I can hear the starter engaged even as I'm shutting it off that's probably what I'm hearing as I'm revving the engine and driving it? The sound of the starter whirring it with a thousands of RPMs that the engine spins atYep that sounds bad should probably fix it soonish

No I do not think the starter is the problem 🫢 perhaps starter related but not the electric motor itself btw I am not a mechanicThanks, I figured so. if it is, it needs to be disclosed that factory fill was in the bike until just before I took the videos. 10W40 and a Hi Flow Filtro is in it now Motorcycle oil, I wonder after running it with the fresh service will help it free up. even if it is slightly dragging, it is my understanding that it will not effect the bike, if it completely fails, I won't be able to use the E start, correct?Kind of sounds like something in the one way setup for the starter is stuck and not allowing free spinning.
No I was just moving the camera around to both sides but it's definitely on the cranking end of things when you're cranking the bike up and only then and when the cranking stops it stops and engine runs fine I have the starter that has arrived on Friday just need to get some JIS bits and move that clutch cable out of the way and I will report back but I'm pretty sure all of this is the starterYou moved the camera to the location of the flywheel is this where you feel the sound is coming from?
