This is COMPLETELY NOT TRUE. I work at a legit Kawi dealership and spoke with my rep about this.
#1 All dealers pay the same price. Nobody is stopping them from loosing money, but all dealers have the same invoice cost.
#2 Freight, PDI, Tire tax, Sales Tax, Doc fee, etc are extra. Don't get sucked in by a "low" advertised price and then get hidden fee'd to death.
#3 It is likely that $1999 Z125's exist. But they will NOT be a full version or they will be lacking key components, or lacking an ECU flash that makes them operable which only a licensed dealer can do, or a shipment that someone picked up from a sea can that was at the bottom of the ocean for a while, or a VIN that doesn't exist.
#4 There is NOT a new model for 2018. We got a KRT revision but that's about it.
Talk to your local Kawasaki dealer about this. If your salesman/woman can't answer questions just PM me. The "CHEAP" advertised price of any motorcycle has a habit of being "MORE EXPENSIVE" than the regular price at a local dealer. I see it every day.
