Possible to convert tail light to also be turn signals?

Check with MNNTHBX. He's forum sponsor and makes an integrated tail/turn plug n play unit.

TST also already came out with the integrated tail light. Looks like a Ducati Panigale.

I am not aware of a relay or other unit that would allow you to retain the stock light and add the turn signal functionality. That would be a nice option but I am sure it would require some custom wiring, as well as installing amber LED'S inside the stock light. It could be done, but as others have said, many options are out there for aftermarket tail lights with integrated signals.

could you not use the red lights already?

are there not turn signals on cars that work like this? (red blinking lights for turn signal, same lights as brake/tail)

All the LED's are on one circuit board. You would have to re engineer it. Like others have said, the R&D has already been done by the vendors on this site. Check them out. They have great products.

Exactly what these guys have said. The circuit board for the stock unit only has the brake/running light functionality. In order to "integrate" the signals into the stock unit you would need to re-design the board with extra LEDs and the wiring to go with it.
