Hey everyone, it's my first motorcycle and I'm 49, My brother had motorcycles back in the day that I've rode but I've never owned my own till now !! first time seeing the grom on YouTube I just knew I had to have one but decided to get to get the Z !! It's been a week of pure fun. I had a mountain biking accident back in 2012 breaking my neck between C4-C5 I was paralyzed but after some surgeries and a magic neurosurgeon I did learn how to walk again. I still have a lot of atrophy through my shoulders and my Arms And yes I still ride a mountain bike but I just don't fly it anymore , I'm 100% disabled But with the Z the quality of life is so much better !!!

Welcome to the forum. Great choice for a first bike since it fits that perfect medium of price, power, ergo's, the list goes on.

Aside from this I see some people getting the Grom or even going up higher to the CBR250.

Welcome to the forum budd ! Terribly sorry to hear about the accident but I'm glad you're able to have some fun with the Z. It's these things in life that make living it that much sweeter.

Planning on modifying it at all ?

Thank you Wot, I guess the market for smaller bore bikes are in more demand, kind of want to get a super Moto next, just a 250cc

Thank you ninja, Yeah I'm getting the fender delete kit tomorrow most likely handlebars and levers Oh I've been looking at the maxxis m6024 tires cause the z goes everywhere !!! At the moment my fun is limited because I haven't got all my safety equipment

here is my 250 motard

if you plan a lot of freeway riding, I would look into a 400 or larger

its barely fast enough for the freeways around here





but as a 250 its a great lightweight bike and handles really well

I also have the dual sport wheels for it too, so this one bike can do a lot

Those are some serious tires. You'll legit be able to everywhere ! Do you live in an area with a lot of terrain that'll make these really useful ?

Fender delete is typically what people do first indeed, can't wait to see how your Z looks after all this !

Nice !! I like the 250, really no need for me to be on the freeway, I have plans to go mobil like Cane in Kung Fu and travel are beautiful Country and Canada looking for adventures lol, I have a FJ 4x4 and my mountain bikes aside from the Z so fun fun fun !!!

well look into nicer seats then
I can handle mine for a couple hours but then it gets tough

but never wanted to spend the money on aftermarket seats so can't really say if they are better or not
