So I picked up a few of these liters of oil as mentioned above and is the case most of the time, you get what you pay for. I didn't think to look for the manufacturing date until today and noticed mine was manufactured what looks to be in Sept 2017.

From what I've found in my research online, most synthetic motor oils have about a 5 year stable shelf life if stored properly.

Make sure to check the MFG date on the back of the bottle because if you aren't going to use it anytime soon, the deal mentioned above isn't so great.

Oils will last much longer than that if still in it's sealed container. As long as it doesn't freeze, it'll be fine for a lot longer than five years. I've seen guys run 20 year old oils, had UOAs done, and everything came back just fine.
