800ish miles on my bike, and the front wheel bearings went bad already. Heard sort of a grinding clunk noise at random coming from the front end. It got worse over about 100 miles or so and eventually got to a loud scraping clunking noise. Took it in and they said Wheelbearings. I am under the impression currently that its covered by warrenty.

Should be covered. They're definitely still working out the kinks. I've had mine in twice for leaking shock and EFI light error. Regretfully the idiots at my local stealership seem to think I'm "jumping" it or some trash. I had to show them this forum where others had the same issue. O well. All of the issues I've had have been covered so far. Still have 11 months on the warranty so if it goes bad they'll handle it. Things happen..

They said they ordered the parts the day I dropped it off, and they wouldn't have done that if warranty wasn't paying for it. Fringe benefit, they're gunna see if they can warranty one of my fairings that had some bubbly paint on it.

Mine did the exact same thing. I hope this instant going to happen every 800 miles. I took mine to the dealership and they said they would have to verify that was the issue and then order the parts that it would be 5-7 days before it was ready. So I said screw that and ordered the bearings for $18 dollars and put them in myself. So I wasn't with out my z for a week.

Exact same problem with my Z at 1800 km, was on the way home from work commute this week when started to hear grinding noise and vibration from front end. Rode it straight to the dealer. They gave it back to me the next day. When i picked it up they showed me that the right side wheel bearing had failed. They replaced the bearings on both sides and all covered under warranty.

Mine went bad at 375 miles. Needed a new rim also.
