I have noticed that there seem to be a lot more CA spec Z125s across my area in the South East than the 49 Spec. I was going through processing all of the recalls for the dealer I work for and 3 out of every 5 VINs that I ran came up for the CA spec.

Having just moved from MO to CA and registering my bike I can confirm that there is not a difference for emissions. I had a call with Kawasaki HQ who sent me a 50 state compliant letter to prove it. If there are other differences I could not speak to them, just that the typical reason for a CA spec is emissions which is not the case for Z125.

Also, I'm selling mine if anyone in Los Angeles area is in the market.

Oh nice. The different part numbers threw me off but I guess it's just for the purpose of paperwork.
