Had this headlight swap idea for a while

This would be fairly easy to do permanently. The grommets on the bottom of the headlight units line up. You would just have to do some wiring to run both bulbs on the 900 and make some brackets.

I think it looks great, what about the dash though? Is that easy to wire in?

I lifted my headlight and meter gauge so couldn't resist seeing whats involved for this.

If your pic is tilted far back as possible hitting meter gauge
Might need tilt back more to match designed angle (beam)
If i'm even looking at the right bike ?
There bottom pin mount for that light bolts to triple just like ours (doable)

With there top mount holes a 90* bracket to or side mount holes probably doable

H7 stock bulbs at 55 watt each (2), so switch to LEDS
dont see any wiring show stoppers

Headlight assembly (no meter gauge) new LENS-COMP 23007-0210 Price: $471.89
Show Stopper

Ebay right now $266 without upper faring
Show Time

And now that you got me all worked up, i got to go find something to change up.

It is tilted slightly forward because I didn’t take off the bracket holding the windscreen. It could easily be trimmed or just skip buying that and use nuts and washers. That should give you the correct beam height.

You won’t need a different bracket on bottom. It fits perfectly. Just a bracket for the top two like you mentioned.

Really a pretty simple switch for how much better it looks. I think four or five hundred bucks is well worth it! I had my mind made up on a number plate until I saw it.
Let me know if you have any questions, I have the 125 apart doing some modifications and the 900 is in the garage.

Side note: The switch makes the 900 look horrible. 😂 Do not attempt.

Z125 headlight on the 900 is hilarious. It screams KTM! They seem to always go with tiny headlight assemblies on their big bikes.
