No wheel weights

I was giving my Z a wash today and noticed there were no balance weights on either wheel. Do scooter tires not require balancing?

General consensus is "no" but if you have the equipment and weights or like the idea of dynamic balance media you might as well.

Just put KD-1s on our two Zs and I think my wife's bike has a poorly balanced front tire. At least that's what it feels like to me. Has me a little baffled because my bike is fine with a matching date code tire. And obviously install was equivalent... Any ideas?

Off the top of my head I don't recall where the dot was located on the IRC tire, tribal logic says that the valve stem isn't always the heaviest spot so maybe I screwed up my balance by lining it up with the stem. Need to run the bike on the spool stand and verify that the rear wheel is smooth. (Don't worry mom, I'll be careful)

(Linky to other thread.)

Dropped a gear... . . . . . . . . . . ...still here

Thanks guys. I also have a set of KD1's in the garage waiting until after break in, and the local scooter shop I called to ask about mounting and balancing said they don't balance scooter tires.

The shop that installed Kenda K761s on my bike used weights to balance the wheels.
