Helmet set up pic, SENA and Contour

I bought the contour a couple years ago to attach to my hard hat so I could video tape while I was climbing on my construction sites. Very helpful when climbing scaffolding etc. I selected it over the GoPro because of the off no slider on top of the camera. Reach over and slide it forward and it is on.

How's the video quality of that camera? I've been thinking about a gopro as that seems to be the more common action camera.

Same quality. Can add an external mic. What separates the two besides shape is the off on switch. Just slide the switch forward and it's on. I have seen too many go pro vidieos where people have to ask a buddy. Is my camera on?
Go Pro does not have a patent on the small camera technology so you can buy off brands for a lot less. I saw a knock off for $89. Prolly identical performance. Which is why Go Pro stock has been tanking the last time I looked.
There is no barrier for Sony, Nikon and Cannon to enter that market and crush go pro.

I made a video this weekend and the video quality was fantastic but I moved my head too much and it was kind of annoying.
Will try again in a few days and post the raw footage.

Moving your head means that you're checking your surroundings a lot, which is great. Just not the best for scenic ride videos.
