Exclamation Knees Rubbing tank fairings

Hey guys,
Im in the market for a z125 pro but have one question. Im 6"+ and sat on the Z125 the other day and noticed my knees are pressed up against the edge of the fuel tank fairing.
Does this cause an annoyance for any of you taller people? i know you can sit abit further back but i like to be up close to the seat when i ride.

Would the Driven Racing TT Rearset make any difference and avoid this issue?

Any feedback or ways you have overcome this would be awesome.

Thanks ZFam

the aftermarket foot controls may shift your feet back a touch
but you do loose a lot with them

I think you loose the passenger pegs but being tall not sure how easy it would be to carry someone behind you
and you loose folding pegs, if you like that feature

I do I always bump the pegs at a stop light and like they fold back

you could also try a lower seat

also make sure the stock bars don't hit your legs
Im 6'1 and the tank isn't too much of a problem I kind of like where my legs locked in

I put on shorter bars and have to be careful in tight turns

I've already had my leg get locked in and almost fell over at 1mph trying to put into neutral in a sharp turn

Thanks for the suggestions Zmike125.

Yeah maybe a different seat would be another option. i have no plans on doubling on this bike. so ill probably loose the pillion pegs.
Im going for a test ride on saturday so will test the handle bars hitting my knees.

The new grom might be more suited for you. I'm 5'10. My knees hug the groms tank nicely.
My knees are hitting on the ridge of the tank on my z125.

I am 6'2" and sit back slightly i find it most comfortable, also you have to tilt the bars forward on the z from stock position. I have a "bump" seat like zmike125 but i cannot ride with it, it forces me to hump the tank which is not comfortable for me to ride.

I love my seat, and im glad it worked out for me
usually those seats that force me to one spot don't work out

I'm over 6 foot tall and I thought the shrouds might bother me but it hasn't been the case. Since I don't plan to ever ride this thing 2 up, I removed the seat strap and I can slide back easily now without it there. Keeps my knees away from the bars, also. I might put rearsets on it before I take it to the track and that will move the knees back further. So I don't think it will end up being a problem unless you like to ride up against the tank.

You can bust your butt if your knee gets stuck.
I think about it every time I ride.

Zmike,
What brand of seat do you have and where did you get it from. Looks great.
