Was she your first ?

For a few of you, the Z125 might be your first introduction to the motorcycle world. But for the majority, I'm betting it's not your first slow dance. I'm just wondering how many bikes are parked in your garages right now. Or for that matter, how many have passed thru that garage over the years.

At this point, I'm not ready to confess to the depth of my affliction and/or disease. Maybe later.
I would however, like to hear from some of you. What say you ?

I'm old. First bike was a Rupp scrambler in the early 70's.

Since then, I don't know maybe 25 bikes. I've owned at least one of every type of bike including several liter bikes.

Got bored with big bikes and noticed myself having much more fun on little bikes for some reason. I'm sure all the great kart tracks in my area has something to do with it.

She was. I don't count the 50cc Honda mini dirt bike that barely ran when I was 10. I've got 3 I want to add however and the Z wasn't the original idea as much as I wanted a Ninja 250 about 6 years ago. The Z is fun though and a great beginner bike, despite what some may or may not say.

Now I'd take a 250 still and a Yamaha MT07 in blue but I would never get rid of the Z.

Well, the Z125 was actually the first motorcycle I purchased.....this year! 3 months later I purchased my first dirt bike so yeah, you could say I have an addiction to two wheels. I've been riding consistently on the street close to 30 years (gosh I feel old saying that) and logged in over 150,000 street miles between all motorcycles.

previously owned:

- 1982 Yamaha Seca 400
- 1989 Honda CBR600 F1
- 1991 Kawasaki ZX-7 (where my love for the green bikes began)
- 1994 Kawasaki ZX-7 (used on street and also racetrack)
- 1993 Kawasaki EX500 (track bike only with Ninja 600r swing arm/CBR 600F2 front end for better suspension and race tires)

currently owned:

- 2002 MV Agusta 750 F4S
- 2001 Honda CBR929RE (gotta have a dependable motorcycle when you also own an Italian...hahaha)
- 2009 Yamaha Zuma 125
- 2017 Kawasaki Z125
- 2017 KTM 300XC-W (first dirt bike I've ever owned)

The funny thing though is that I find myself riding the Z (mostly) or the Zuma (secondarily) more often then all of them as they are so fun to ride, more practical, and keep me out of the trouble the bigger bikes seem to get me into.

Ok so I'm a young pup...
Not gonna bother with the dirtbikes or bikes I purchased for my wife.

First bike:
'04 Suzuki SV650 Blue (Sold to a friend, I think he crashed it, I'm afraid to ask)

Grown-up bike:
'04 BMW R1150RA Blue (I wanted the lime green Rockster for sale but my bike came with panniers) (Still own it, love it, might delete the brake servos some day)

Duh:
2017 Z125 Green w/ Eli Tomac Monster Energy livery (Was jealous of the wife's Z)

I got my license in ‘88 and have had 25 or 26 full sized bikes prior to the Z.

[B]I'm always interested in the variety of bikes people have owned, and you guys don't disappoint.
ZAPH said he's old because his first bike was a Rupp. I have to admit, my first motor powered two
wheeler was a Whizzer, when they were at their peak of popularity.

Now, maybe I might admit to my affiiction, although I prefer passion, as more accurate. After 65 years
of riding, I've been more than fortunate enough to enjoy this hobby of ours. Almost 60 bikes surely demonstrates some mental deficiency. My signature pretty much sez it all.

I agree MindThreat. It's an excellent first bike to get street experience. I'd have my grandson on mine, but my son has a difference of opinion.
