Valve Adjustment Specs

What specs are the general consensus for adjustment of the intake and exhaust? I read somewhere on here that .002 and .004 (intake and exhaust) were the prefered specs. Can some folks please chime in and advise if this is the way to go or not please? I ordered the Motion Pro tools that MNNTHBX sells, the feeler gauges of .002/.003 and .004/.005 and the 9mm tappet tool as well. Please advise. Thanks!!

Or rather: At what specs do members continuously set their intake and exhaust valves to on this forum to obtain the best performance with a stock engine?

Sooooooooo, do most of y'all run .002 and .004??? Sorry to bother everyone with such trivial information, but I'm about to do this procedure for the first time and I simply don't want to screw anything up!! Thanks!!

Just performed the valve adjustment procedure today and I would like to thank Kaw'ee with providing the link for the write up on this. Also would like to thank the author of that write up as well as MNNTHBX for offering the most perfect Motion Pro tools for the job. I went with .002 intake and .004 exhaust and at 950 miles, my exhaust valve was too tight. Folks, check these valves, the factory recommended service interval is wayyyyyyyy to many miles before checking the valves. I also did an oil/filter change too.

You are 100% correct about the factory recommended interval it is a joke. I did mine under 1000 miles and they were tight as well. Too tight = burned valves = $$$. Valves tend to tighten over time.
