Someone posted on my YouTube channel that you can leave battery disconnected for several hours and it should go away. I'll try that tonight as I have the light on too.

In cars, the CEL can be reset by disconnecting the battery. Some say just the negative post. You'll have to let it sit for a little while to drain all the power. Experiment and let us know the results, try 5 minutes, then 30, then an hour+ to see the time required. Otherwise a dealer should be able to clear the codes.

Disconnecting the battery won't work.

Per the golden book (aka Service Manual)

Like the new ZX-10R, it has to be cleared at the dealership using the KDS3 or through this manual clearing procedure.

My guess is you rode the bike and met those criteria. It doesn't have to be in one fell swoop, it can be done in three increments. Just as soon as all those criteria are met, then the code will go out. It's the exact same error code process on the 2016+ ZX-10R.
